The Sunshine Center board would like to thank everyone who helped make the 2017 Capital City Blues and River Festival such a success. The money raised at this event ensures a safe place for victims of domestic violence and elder abuse in Franklin and surrounding counties. This was a true team effort and our clients will benefit from everyone’s hard work. We want to thank our sponsors (United Bank, Kosair Charities, Neil Huffman Automotive Group, Frankfort Regional Medical Center, C. Michael Davenport Chapel Charities, Graviss McDonalds, Shelter Insurance – Jan Frasier, and Whitaker Bank), businesses that bought ads in the program, all those who donated items for the silent auction, and the many volunteers. We also want to thank Wendell Thomas of Fall City Smokers (food vendor), Frankfort Convention Center (tables and chairs), GGFX Design (poster and program), and Simply Garden (centerpieces for the tables). Our special thanks to Frankfort Parks, Recreation and Historic Sites for the beautiful venue and for all the help, especially in getting people to and from their cars. Many of those attending expressed gratitude for the extra assistance. And, of course, we are so grateful to Tee Dee Young and Robbie Bartlett for making the evening so enjoyable and to Sean Cantrill for providing the sound and lighting.
